Five bedrooms, and a door onto the jungle from every one
Casa Frondosa is a modern house built into a forested ridge, arranged so that a group of 12 can be together when they want to be and out of each other's way when they do not.
The main floor is open on two sides, with glass from floor to ceiling and doors that fold back onto the pool terrace. Below it there is a game room and an office. Above it all, an open-air terrace that is the best seat in the house at about six in the evening.
Where everyone ends up
The living, dining and kitchen space runs the width of the house, and the covered terrace outside it is a second living room with its own kitchen, bar and dining table.
The bedrooms

6 beds across 5 rooms, sleeping up to 12, over three living levels. 5 bathrooms in total, 3 of them en suite.
The two bedrooms on the third level and the bedroom on the first level each have their own en suite bathroom. The two bedrooms on the second level share one.
Every bedroom has air conditioning, a ceiling fan and its own patio. The photographs below are of the rooms as they are; which one you end up in depends on how your group divides up.
Bathrooms, and the one that is outside
Carved stone basins, hardwood vanities, and a shower in the garden that is worth using at least once even if you did not think you were an outdoor shower person.
The pool, the decks and the game room
The pool is saltwater, so nobody comes out of it smelling of chlorine, and it runs to an infinity edge over the treeline. Upstairs, the open decks face the sunset. Downstairs there is a full-size pool table and an office with two desks, for the part of the group that has to check in with the office.
